My Wings of Fire backstory

The first ever WoF book I read was the graphic novel version of The Hidden Kingdom when I was a wee lad (but not too wee). It was recommended to me by a friend and I read all of it in 1 day.

I then proceeded to read every single book in the series, including book 1, 3 and 5 of the graphic novels and excluding Dragonslayer. I remember begging my parents to buy The Flames of Hope when I saw it in a bookstore one day, only for it to be a below average book overall.
